I just got notified that for the year 2011, what ever my employer pays on for my health care plan, it will be counted as income to me (which they pay 100% and one reason I took this job). I now cannot afford to keep my current policy, which I like. With paying my co-payments and deductible on top of higher payroll taxes, I must drop my coverage at the end of this year. My prescriptions will now cost me $300 plus a month where I now pay $60. I will have to stop taking them at the cost of losing my current level of health. Blood tests I need every 3 months will have to stop, $125 a pop. I agree something must be done about our healthcare system and it'€™s high costs, but I don';€™t like the current plan.
