On June 29, a letter to the editor titled, “Time to ram health care down their throats,” makes reference to government-run heath care. The writer wants to see Congress pass a government nationalized health care program.

One of the many warning signs I see in the writer’s letter is the word “nationalized.” According to Webster’s Dictionary, nationalized means, “To invest control or ownership of, in the national government.” That ladies and gentleman is socialism in it’s truest form. According to Webster, “Socialism is governmental ownership and administration of the means of production and distribution of goods — a system or condition in which there is no private property — a stage of society in the Marxist theory transitional between capitalism and communism.”

Does that sound like anything that’s going on right now? Bailouts? Baloney, they are just plain ol’ government takeovers.

First the banking and housing industry, next the automobile industry and now he’s trying to take over the health care industry.

In my opinion the only true statement the writer made was that this is a great country. And in spite of the socialists trying to take over this great country since it’s inception, we have been able to retain some semblance of sovereignty and freedoms mainly due to the level heads of some conservative politicians, and don’t ever forget the brave men and women in the armed forces who died helping to keep this great country free and great.

You know, I thought only in socialist and communist countries, and countries with brutal dictators, did they ram things down people’s throats. I was always under the misconception that in this great country all citizens had the same freedom of speech and expression as the socialists do. Sometimes I get the feeling that the “libs” think only they have those freedoms and anyone who disagrees with them should “shut up, sit down and get out of the way.” (These are the writer’s own words.)

You know, it’s a funny thing about socialists. They spew socialist philosophies but go ballistic if you can call them socialists. Funny, isn’t it? I always thought if it walked like a duck, quacked like a duck, and looked like a duck, there was a pretty good chance it was a duck.

The writer also talked about taxation. “Raising taxes on those who are working.” I always thought you had to be working to pay state and federal income taxes.

Approximately 50 percent of the people in this country pay no state or federal income taxes. That’s why, when the socialists rant and rave about raising taxes, people who don’t pay income taxes or very little don’t care if someone else’s are raised. That is the socialists best weapon — divide and conquer (class welfare).

The writer was right about one other statement, where he claimed with nationalized health care everyone would be equal. Right equal, at the lowest level.

By the way I think he forgot to mention if this government health care program was going to cover the millions of illegal aliens already here and those yet to come. I’ll bet it will. If nationalized or socialized health care was so great, why do people from other countries who can afford it come to this great country for their serious health problems?

I’ll tell you why.

Where they have socialized health care, some government clerk will determine if or when you will see a doctor or get treatment. Of course, if they decide you’re too old, you probably won’t get treated at all. If you take away the incentive, in time you will have few or no real good doctors or specialists left. Also, without incentive, why would any pharmaceutical company want to spend billions of dollars and many years on research and development to develop new medicinal compounds?

The writer states that it took 30 years to get this country in such bad shape. Has he forgotten that incompetent Jimmy Carter we had as president for four years? Interest rates were 22 percent, inflation at 14-15 percent. When President Reagan took office in 1981 he immediately lowered income taxes. Revenues increased dramatically but the Democratic Congress and Senate spent $1.69 for giveaway programs for every dollar of extra revenue earned. Wasn’t the writer around then?

Unemployment when Obama took over was around 5 percent. What is it today? Obama has done more to destroy this great country in six months than all the other presidents put together, except for maybe Jimmy Carter.

Besides, if this country was in such bad shape why were hundreds of illegals crossing our borders into our country everyday? ... It’s because their countries are in bad shape, not ours.

Four of the major planks of socialism are:
1. To encourage immorality (Do away with religion).
2. Encourage rampant crime (protect the criminal).
3. Dumb down and brainwash our children in government schools and universities.
4. Break our tax coffers (going on right now).

Does anyone remember what the Russian communist (premier) Nikita Khrushchev told us in the 1960s?

He said, “(Whether you like it or not, history is on our side.) We will bury you slowly.” And that’s what they’ve been doing to us for the last 50 years.

And those who go to the voting booths armed with nothing more than what some liberal rag or major media’s recommendations on how to vote, those people have helped to accelerate this problem and are helping the enemy. Remember voting is a privilege not a right. So, know what you are voting for. Forget those stupid sitcoms on TV and start keeping abreast of what this enemy is trying to do to us.

I have been reading this writer’s letters to the editor since he started writing, and I normally take them with a grain of salt because I always consider the source. But now he has finally come out of the closet. He is truly a socialist.

Wake up good citizens and remember what Nikita Khrushchev told us because that’s happening right now.

That reminds me of the story about how to boil a frog. You put the frog into a pot of cold water. Place pot on stove (at) medium heat. As the water warms up slowly the frog doesn’t realize what’s going on but finally the water boils and the frog is dead!

Are you for real?!! Did you just climb (out) from under a rock?? Where will the Canadians go?? Their health program sucks in Canada. And I will not leave a debt to the future generation. Its not right. People have to live within their income, and 30 years of what?? Clinton/Monica-Pelosi/Franks-fruitcakes-Carter/no backbone weenies. The Democrats love to spend your hard-earned money on giveaway programs to shut (up) and keep people broke by spending your hard-earned cash on pet project that waste a great deal of our money. We are on the road to socialism. May God help us and open your eyes. Whatever happened to morals of hard work. Earn your pay. Work (four letter word).
